Why did you apply for the Acorn Enterprise Business Accelerator Programme?
I didn’t. I met Kallum via a different course and he forced, I mean invited, me on to the programme.
As a business owner, how would you describe yourself in three words?
Just one – IMPRESSIVE!
What or who motivated you to form your business?
I wanted to hold on to moments and not let them become a forgotten memory.
We’re always so busy these days that sometimes we forget to notice the tiny details in life. These are the details that make us who we are…our uniqueness.
How would you describe your business in three words?
Making memories tangible
What was the best bit of advice your received on the Business Accelerator Programme?
Stop being afraid.
How has your business grown since being on the Programme?
I’ve hit financial targets I dare not have dreamed about.
My online presence was virtually non existent, now Google loves me more and more. I have far more confidence in my own abilities!
I’ve launched a unique high end product with the help and support of Acorns. The contacts I now have within a local and wider network are invaluable.
By far the biggest influence was being introduced to content marketing which has had a massive impact on everything I do. It has transformed the entire structure, principal and ethos of the business I am creating.
What are you most proud of about your business?
When I can help people capture a memory or an emotion that means the world to them.
What are the three most important things you would tell an aspiring business “Acorn”?
Know your why. Be prepared to fail. Listen more than you talk.
What is the most amusing incident that has happened in the history of your business?
What happens at Impressive Memories…stays at impressive memories…
If you started over, what one thing would you do differently?
Stop doubting myself. And learn how to understand accounts…yawn!
Who’s the most famous or interesting character you’ve met whilst running your business?
I was asked to create impressions for a very famous pop star.
Sadly we weren’t able to do this due to circumstances out with our control, but I am now good friends with his daughter.
Everyone I meet is interesting. I get a chance to be part of capturing their memories – it doesn’t get more interesting than that.
How do you unwind?
You can unwind?
What book would you recommend that every entrepreneur read?
Oversubscribed by Daniel Priestly
How would you describe Acorn Enterprise?
